Top Gear S13E03 best cheap car Challenge – Part 2 of 3
Here you get to watch the UK’s Top Gear guys, Jeremy Clarkson, James May, Richard Hammond, provide a review of 3 cars that they have narrowed to to be given the title of best cheap car.
The three choices were as follows:
- Skoda Roomster microscopic diesel engine, selected by Jeremy Clarkson
- Alfa Romeo, Alfa Mito – “you’d have to have a heart of stone and a soul of custard to turn that down” – Richard Hammond
- Toyota IQ, driven by James May, which he deemed the most futuristic car of the three. (Richard named it “the dishwasher”) This was Japan’s Car of the Year in 2008!
Each one of the fellas were given an opportunity to pick their choice of driving functionality to compare it to the other two.
Our first test was a drag race! Alfa Mito was the clear favorite, and I shant spoil the video for you.
Skoda Roomster chose a test of ease of accessibility to transform it into a loading vehicle. Again, I’m not sharing the outcome. You really must watch the video.
Toyota IQ had the 3 tested for quality of the ride. Drivers drove at 50 mph testing vibration and cabin noise.
Not all cheap cars are rubbish.
