2009 Honda Fit (for internal combustion engine car)
2009 Toyota Prius (for Hybrid)

Safest:
2009 Hummer H2 (for ridiculous size and such)
2009 Honda Accord Coupe (says consumer reports)

Horse Power:
2009 Corvette ZR-1 (most horsepower/weight in a consumer vehicle)

Dont know why the other poster was such a grouch… It’s christmas eve and 1980’s EPA specs have changed since then. And horsepower isnt necessarily a made up number. Horsepower is the amount of energy/sec “work” the engine delivers – so although its not a metric unit – it’s directly convertible to Kilowatts – which is a meaningful unit by dividing horsepower by 1.34. And the safest car is the one that doesnt get into any accidents. But I digress…
